Can Plumeria be fertilized during its dormant period?

Plumeria’s nutrient requirements are lower during its dormant period, which usually occurs in the winter months. As such, it’s generally not necessary to fertilize Plumeria during this time. Applying fertilizer when the plant is dormant may stimulate new growth, making it more vulnerable to frost or cold temperatures damage. Fertilization should resume in late winter or early spring when the plant shows signs of new growth and the active growing season commences. During the dormant period, focus on providing proper care regarding minimal sunlight exposure and protecting the plant from cold temperatures.
